Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Eye Guide MC?

It is a device worn over the ear and along the eyeline designed to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s.

How does the Eye Guide MC device work?

The Eye Guide MC is based on weight. The brain notices the weight of the Guide and the eye picks up the Guide in its peripheral vision. This combination of stimuli sends a signal to the brain which then enables the brain to promote better movement and
confidence.

Does the Eye Guide MC need to be fitted?

Yes, the device has to be fitted by one of our trained specialists, as the guide part of the Eye Guide MC needs to be cut and trimmed to each individual.

What is the process for getting an Eye Guide MC device fitted?

At the consultation, there will be a series of tests to assess each patient. The tests will also help determine which side is best for the Eye Guide MC to be fitted on. Please get in touch with our team to arrange a consultation.

Is it safe to use?

The Eye Guide MC device is a Class 1 Medical Device that is CE marked, and MHRA accredited. There is no medication, wires or surgery involved with the device. All evidence gathered to date has shown the Eye Guide MC to be a safe non-intrusive device.

How much does the Eye Guide MC cost?

£995.00 +vat (most customers are vat exempt).

Is the Eye Guide MC guaranteed to work?

Although there aren’t any guarantees that the device will work for you as every individual brain is different, there is mounting success story data.

What was Parkinson’s UK’s involvement in Eye Guide MC?

Parkinson’s UK provided Eye Guide MC with early stage advice and support to help get the device CE safety mark assessed. Parkinson’s UK do not formally endorse the product as it is still at an early stage of development, but they are keen to follow its progress.

Sandra the founder of Eye Guide MC is also a Parkinson’s UK volunteer and works with other Parkinson’s UK volunteers to provide support to others living with Parkinson’s in her local community.

Do you ship worldwide?

Unfortunately, we are only able to offer the Eye Guide MC device to those that have had an in-person consultation with one of our specialists as we must carry out tests and personally fit the device.

We can not guarantee that the Eye Guide MC will work for everyone. Every person with Parkinson's has a different brain and so will react differently to the Guide.
